Hi Friend!

This week the girls and I started face to face school and we were very excited! It was like having a 2nd first day of school, complete with all the jitters and back to school outfits. The girls were so excited to see their friends and teachers, even though it's a very different environment than what they left last March. I'm a technology teacher at Peyton's middle school and it filled my heart with joy to see my students, even though I couldn't tell if they were laughing at my jokes. I guess I can still see if they are rolling their eyes, which if you've ever been around a teenager happens often enough, ha! We all made the best of it and ended the day with smiles and lots of stories.

We are all being very careful and following all the new regulations because we so badly want to stay at school! One of the most important school supplies this year is a mask. The girls and I tried a few different brands over the summer and have found our favorites. We thought you might like to try these so they are linked below (no affiliation, just passing along a favorite).

Old Navy - These masks are a favorite of Peyton's. She likes how they stay are her nose and don't slide down.

Old Navy Kids - These masks fit Savannah perfect and come in lots of fun colors and prints!

Athleta - This is my go to. They fit me really well and I don't find myself tugging on them through the day. I also love that they have a mesh lining that seems to be a little more breathable.

Target - This is Dominic's favorite. I got him the large and it fits him perfect, plus the price is amazing!

We hope this helps you and your family to navigate some of the back to school worries. Even if you have chosen virtual for the year these masks are great for the times you need them. I'm all about whatever will keep my kids comfortable and healthy!

Have a great week!

Katie

Ellis County Wildfires

Last week was full of all the emotions: fear, anxiety, humbleness at the power of fire and nature, gratitude for God's grace, and pride for the community in which we live.
